Tankers spend 90% of their time finding things that are broken on their tank and fixing them... 10% doing cool things.

She's finding a lot of reasons it might not come back if it goes out. There's a lot of slack maintenance. Better get things fixed!

That checks out. Tanks are the coolest because 1) big guns you don't have to physically carry on a strap, plus enough machine gun rounds you'll get tired of shooting it before you run out of ammo, 2) big, heavy destruction machines, 3) the enemy's got to spend some money (generally) to kill you - whereas most other jobs, you can be killed with a sharp stick. The downside is all the maintenance, the hearing loss and the wore out knees...
