There, I said it.
Also, what's up with the saluting uncovered?
You mean in general, or does one of these panels look like someone’s saluting (it’s not supposed to).
In the general case I can think of two instances where you’re required to salute uncovered - when you’re “reporting, as ordered” which usually happens indoors (and obviously only a scumbag wears his headgear indoors) and when you’re taking over the PT formation, which Basher is going to do on the next PT page. Both scenarios are more about adhering to a ritual than they are about the rendering of respect to an officer that makes enlisted men flap a flipper at shiny metal bits.
That’s my justification for the next salute, which I’m already committed to, despite having established that no one’s supposed to be saluting at all at FOB Cowboy.... which I forgot!

SSG LaCroy fetches his platoon leader for PT. He's been up all night with the platoon, making the repairs she demanded. She has no real idea how hard they've been working, but she's appreciative of it - hence the free time.
Sadly, that's not going to work out.
I'm trying to thread three little stories together here, so there's going to be a lot of scene jumping coming up.
