Maintaining track is a lot of work, but throw it a couple times and you'll be all over that spanner, grease gun, sledge and ballpeen...

That’s the premise behind this scene - what if you had an old fashioned car chase with all the usual gags, but one of the cars was a tank?

Times like this make me glad I was in the Air Force. Bad enough I was stuck in the desert trying to get a B-52 off the ground; i did not need someone shooting at me while screaming insults about my mother, thank you very much.

Anyone can scream insults, but the desert whispers to you... die... die.. die... Give me trees!

Well, it wasn’t like I asked to be there. I wanted England, or maybe Germany, but nooo...

The 4 Ps x Murphy's Law = Hobson's Choices.
Meanwhile, Mack is most likely getting what Baltimore and Philly cops call "A Rough Ride".

If I may back up a bit, when I graduated from the Aerial Surveillance Officer's Course in June 1968, my first choice was Germany because interpreting imagery of Soviet/Warsaw Pact assets meant using the latest tech in the highest prestige job. Instead I went to Nam to a brigade level MI detachment and to riff on Hawkeye Pierce's description of his job did "Meatball Photo Interpretation" with an always undermanned section in a deuce and a half painted a a sun's heat absorbing dark green next to a no shade Charlie Brown tree. If we needed to develop film from a hand held aerial photo mission, we had to wait till after midnight; so the chemicals wouldn't cook. When the general wanted an enlarged map of an area including every hut to be used at a briefing, I had to do the whole thing by hand over 36 hours using only a T square and proportional dividers. After the briefing, the map was destroyed. For the tour, no casualties from enemy fire, but 2 medevacs, one for Hodgkins Disease and one for a jeep accident.
On the other hand, I did get my first choice for my follow on stateside assignment - Ft Carson, Colorado.

That's why you're a poet today instead of a photographer!
