Of course this only works if you keep those grenade discharger contacts clean... preventive maintenance saves lives!

For sure - and it's the first thing that gets half assed when the tempo of ops is too high and folks are getting tired. We fired our grenade dischargers once and half the grenades didn't go off. Then you're wondering if it's just waiting for you go out and pull the "duds" before it goes off in your face... Nobody wants a snoot full of white phosphorous! Fortunately we were only firing them so we wouldn't have to turn the grenades back in, but it was a valuable lesson!
